Paint for concrete driveway – does it last in Irish rain?
My concrete driveway is stained and cracked a bit from weathering. Thinking of painting it to smarten it up and maybe add some grip. What driveway paints actually last through our wet winters without peeling or fading fast? Any prep tips or brands people rate?

Painting a driveway can look great but needs the right product – regular masonry paint flakes off quickly here. You want something tough, flexible, and designed for traffic/UV. I used an epoxy-based driveway coating a couple of years back; prepped with power wash and filler, applied two coats, and it’s held up to rain, frost, and tyres without lifting.

Tikkurila or Coo-Var types seem popular for Irish conditions – good coverage and anti-slip options. Go for light colours to hide stains.
