Open https://en.tripmydream.com/flights, select “flexible dates” and nearby airports; I’ve seen JFK to MAD for $450 leaving Friday. Use Google Flights Explore map for warm destinations under $600 round-trip. Avoid peak weekends, take red-eyes, and carry-on only. If prices stay high, pivot to a closer timezone or extend the trip to catch lower midweek returns. Speed and willingness to fly odd hours are key.
