Social Media Makes People Compare Everything
One thing I’ve noticed is how social media constantly pushes people into comparing themselves with others online. Followers, interactions, likes, and even who someone follows suddenly become things people pay attention to daily. It creates this environment where small online actions seem much more important than they probably are in real life. I’ve seen friendships and relationships become awkward because of social media assumptions alone. The internet makes people analyze behavior that normally wouldn’t matter at all offline. At some point it stops being entertainment and starts feeling mentally exhausting instead. Does social media make people overanalyze each other too much now?

Sometimes the most interesting part of social media is not the number of followers but the new accounts someone decides to follow. While reading about this behavior I came across see latest followers instagram which explains how recently followed profiles can be identified. It provides a clearer way to understand how a user’s network grows over time.
